Spring Wild Flowers

Ill-Scented Trillium

The wild flower season is in mid form right now.   Traditionally the months of April and May are my favorite for going out in some of my favorite spots in the parks near me to search out flowers in bloom.

This year the trillium species has been exceptional.

Red Trillium

You can view more of my trillium images at the following links:

The above image recently was selected by the Cleveland Plain Dealer as 2nd place in the 'Close to Home' category for there annual photo contest.

You can read the little article in the newspaper here:   Cleveland Plain Dealer Photo Contest

The photo contest has thousands of entries from the entire spectrum of talent (all amateur).  It is a great honor and a wonderful treat have myself and the Cuyahoga Valley National Park recognized by the newspaper.

Happy Easter

Wishing you a blessed and joyous holiday weekend.

The above image is from the beautiful Wade Chapel in Lakeview Cemetery in Cleveland.  The beautiful chapel interior was designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany.  It is registered as a historic building.   You can read more about the chapel here:
