The deer mating season or 'rut' is just about over. The male bucks are getting less aggressive and staying further away from the photographers they encounter. The female does are far less concerned about what is going on around them.
So the prime opportunities to photograph the white tailed deer during the rut is over. Luckily I had a few nice days to take advantage of the deer and capture more nice white tailed deer buck photographs.
This guy was resting along the road.. He had several female does in his harem, but was resting while trying to keep track of all of them.
This buck was one of the medium sized deer. He was keeping track of the larger bucks across the way. He seemed as interested in the large bucks as he was in the female does of his harem.
